ABC Rain?

There was once a little girl named Jamie who didn't know her ABC's. She tried and tried but she never got it right. Everytime she did get it right she would always forget it the next day. One night she was tucked up in her bed crying because she didn't know her ABC's. She wished that she could learn her ABC's as quick as rain falls from the sky. Her eyes grew heavy, and after a few miniutes she was fast asleep. The next morning when she woke up it was raining. She squinted her eyes at the window. Somthing was weird about the rain. As she got closer, the raindrops looked more and more like A's. Why was it raining A's? Then it struck her. She had wished for herself to learn the ABC's as quick as rain fell from the sky. When she went to school she asked her friends ''Did you see raindrops in the shape of A's falling from the sky?'' But all they said was ''No!'' Jamie was confused. The next morning it was raining again. Again she squinted her eyes at the window. The raindrops didn't look like A's but instead they looked more like B's. When she went to school she asked her friends the same question. ''Did you see raindrops in the shape of B's?'' ''No!,'' they said. Again, Jamie was confused. When she went home she thought How did I see raindrops in the shape of letters when my friends didn't? For the next few days it rained the letters of the ABC's in order. By the time the letter Z in the alphabet was done, Jamie had memorized the whole alphabet. When she went home from school the next day she had a note from her teacher saying that Jamie was the better at her ABC's than anyone else in her class. Jamie ran in the house shouting ''Look what the teacher gave to me!'' When her mom read the note she hugged Jamie and told her ''I knew you would learn some day.''

The puzzle comes alive!

Once there was a girl named Katie and a boy named Jake. They were both sitting on the floor trying to complete an airplane puzzle. They had already finished the train and the truck. After they were done with the airplane all they had to do was the ship. They were both talking and having fun while doing the puzzles. Fifteen miniutes later they had finished the airplane and had started the ship. As Katie stuck the last piece of the ship on the puzzle, the ship honked and sailed accross the floor. The train went choooo-chooooo and started moving accross the floor too! ''What is going on, ''Jake said to Katie.

''I don't know, ''Katie replied. Just then the truck started driving all over the place. The airplane flew right toward the ceiling roaring so loud that they both had to cover thier ears. ''What's going on up there,''thier mom yelled at them. Uh-oh. What's going to happen? What if she comes to our room? Will we get in trouble? The next day Katie and Jake were playing in the yard when they saw that a baby bird had fallen from the tree. They both thought about how they could get the bird to safety. Then Katie came up with a brilliant idea! ''Let's get the puzzle we were doing yesterday and make it come alive. After that we can put the bird in the airplane and send it to the nest!''
''Great idea, ''Jake said. They went upstairs and got the puzzle. Then they carefully set the baby bird into the small airplane. It it flew up in the air and to the nest. It was safe. ''Yeaaaaaah'' they both shouted. ''We did it!''Katie said jumping up and down. They both high fived and went inside.

Super Kid

Once there was a boy named David. He ate all the fruits and veggies he was told to eat. He even did a lot of excersize and homework. One night he was sleeping and he heard someone crying. Waaa-waaa! The noise was coming from the clouds. He could also hear the Pilots talking to people on the ground telling them that they'd need to land the plan somewhere other than Disney World, the plane's original destination, so that they could help a baby on the plane. David really wanted to see what it was, so he jumped out of the window and started to fly! David had superpowers! It was because he did everything good that he had nightvision, hearing powers and was able to fly. David was now Super Kid! Super Kid flew up into the clouds and saw an airplane. Inside the airplane was a baby crying because it's stomach was hurting. The baby's mom told Super Kid to take the baby to the hospital, make it's stomach stop hurting and bring it back. Super Kid took the baby to the doctor and the doctor gave the baby some medicene. The baby stopped crying and took the baby back to it's mom. The baby's mom and all the passengers said thank-you and Super kid flew back home looking forward to the next time he'd be using his super powers to help someone else.

Moral: Eat well, exercise and do your homework. We all have super powers - find the super power in you, and help others.

I'll get back with some more interesting short night-time stories soon ...
